Favorite of the series

This second book was the one that made me really love this story. The tension between Lucy and Jared with the "Darren situation" was amazing. The relationships actually seemed realistic, there definitely wasn't an insta-love in this book. Lucy's honesty and transparency was refreshing. If I had a complaint, it would be that there's a lot of angst...a lot of repetitive angst. But, I mean, if I had suffered all that she did... I'm sure I'd be all like "I wanna die, it's for the best. Darren broke my heart. Jared left me. My best friend died. My dad died. I can't even think about the mom situation. Oh, but Jared came back... So did Darren. So much confusion!!! I should just die, it's for the best. Gotta keep those walls up. I just wanna die." - all the stinkin time. Honestly, I skimmed over a bit of it because it was basically all that^^^. But it didn't make me walk away from the story. Over all, a great (clean with minimal language) series.

I honestly liked the book better than the last. It was less depressing and more funny, happy, and shocking.
MY favorite person-vampire-in here is Jared. Jared added a little humor to the book, although he can be a tinsy winsy aggressive.
A thing I thought could have been better was Lucinda,Elizabeth, Malone could have more of a back bone. I just expected a little bit more aggression from her because of someone,or some people or vampires, that came back.
But overall I chose a 3, not out of enthusiasm or irritation. I chose 3 because It was decent, but not entirely my style.

Had Potential in Book One...But This One Failed Me...Love Triangles and Insta-Love

This had LOTS of potential with the first book and then I find out that the lead guy is out and another one is in? What? I hate those kinds of books so maybe I'm biased but I couldn't do it. I'd much prefer cheesy Twilight to this. I even got over the insta-love in the first book.
